Emma and Derek's wedding in Grand Barachois was the last wedding of 2014 for me. I couldn't have spent the day with a more fun-loving bunch of people who truly welcomed me into their lives for the day. I could have spent hours alone with them taking photos on the beach. It was a gorgeous backdrop for them as they were windswept and held each-other close. Love makes beautiful photos, every time. Thank you Emma and Derek. Enjoy!
Kara and Andrew planned their wedding in true Uptown Saint John style. At any point in time, I had a great view of the port while I spent the day walking the brick-lined streets with them. Their celebration continued through the night at the Diamond Jubilee Cruise Terminal with beautiful twinkly lights, shiny sequins and crystal chandeliers.. a real visual treat. As I listened to speeches, I was laughing in stitches and tears. No doubt these two are surrounded with unconditional love from their family and friends all around.
What a beautiful pair Lisa and Colin are. Add an awesome group of friends who like to party and a family that can dance up a storm and you've got the prefect recipe for an entertaining and fun-filled day. Colin and Lisa's engagement session was so lovely and their wedding day was no exception... perfect weather, great light and a nice location. Lisa and Colin, this one is for you! Enjoy the memories.
When I first met with Tiffany and James, it was immediately apparent that being their photographer was going to be so much fun. I spent their wedding day with them at the Mackay Apple Orchard on the Kingston Peninsula. Their family and friends gathered together for an intimate backyard ceremony which was followed by a beautiful reception and delicious dinner catered by East Coast Bistro. The light was so rich, the sun drenched everything and turned it to gold. Tiffany and James were glowing and so was everything around them. This day was bliss.
Remember Hurricane Arthur? Uprooted trees, falling branches and loss of electricity... lots of broken umbrellas. That didn't stop Robyn and Brad from celebrating their wedding uptown. Lots of warmth and smiling faces to capture including a late night toast at Happinez Wine Bar with a few friends.
It's been a while since I've experienced a rich golden light like I did on the day of Christina and Kevin's wedding. There were lots of cute dogs (see right below) and babies on this day. And, I think I took 150 photos on the ferry ride alone. What can I say... I LOVE taking the ferry! Congrats, you two!

Ashley and Rafal were the first engaged couple I photographed after moving to Saint John a year ago. We were lucky enough to have some fog on the beach (my fav) on their wedding day! I definitely got a little trigger happy with Ashley's amazing veil, haha. The culture and family tradition made this day rich and full of beautiful moments and ended in an awesome celebration with everyone dancing their faces off. Jill and Chris had a beautiful down to earth backyard wedding, which was only appropriate since they are so down to earth themselves. When Chris first laid eyes on Jill it completely took his breath away- just scroll down and look at his reaction. We see quite a bit of fog here in Saint John, but the fog was at a whole other level of thickness on the weekend of Joanne and & Nathan's wedding. It didn't seem to deter their friends and family from Toronto from exploring the city and the rain actually added quite a bit of cozy ambience to the already intimate gathering at The Homeport Bed & Breakfast. After spending nearly three hours chatting and getting to know this easy-going pair back in March, I discovered that they were as quirky and lovely as I could have hoped for. There is a warm and comfortable air about them that is no doubt a reflection of their love and admiration of each other. And so, in their true spirit of calm and candor, they chose to begin their wedding day with an enormous breakfast at Leonard's Cafe. The rest of the day on Prince Edward Island was a wonderful barrage of friends, family and moody light followed by really, really good food and art at The Dunes studio gallery and cafe in Brackley Beach. When I first heard about how J & J ended up falling in love after years of knowing each other I kind of got the chills... YEARS, as in they grew up together, went to the same summer camps and have dorky old photographs together in high school. Their story is so wonderful in the sense that their lifelong friendship grew into a very deep love for each other and it pours into the lives of others around them. A decade ago, I don't think Josh and Jill ever could have imagined that one day they would be married but anyone can see it is no mystery they've been meant to be from the very beginning.
